For this assignment, we had to take a car and remove the little white spots from the hood. We also had to make the background all black. This is the before image of the car: This is my after image that I edited: For the second part of the assignment, we had to change the color of the car to whatever we choose. I chose the color yellow:

In this assignment, I chose to take photos of nature. Since it was spring, I decided to use flowers because there were a lot in my front yard. Here is my best photo: For the aperture, the opening was f/4.5. For the shutter, the speed was 1/1600. The ISO was 800. Here are next best 5 photos: What I learned from this assignment was that you should check the whether before shooting outside because it started to rain when I was shooting and I had to go inside. I also learned that changing the ISO and aperture/shutter speed can make your picture really grainy.
For this assignment, I chose to do my first weekly photo assignment as animals. I took a camera home with me and when we went out to my Great aunt and uncle's house, I took pictures of all the birds they have. Basically, for the animals photo, you had to be able to capture the personality of the animal and show their face, them in action, in their own environment, etc. For the aperture, the opening was f/5.9. For the shutter speed, the speed was 1/160. For the ISO, it was 200. Here are my next best 5 photos: What I leaned from this assignment was that when you are photographing an animals, try to do an animal that can't fly away from you. This was kind of a difficult animal to photograph because they kept flying away, eating food, fighting with other birds, etc. It probably would have been easier to do a dog. But, on the bright side, I think some of the bird pictures I got were very pretty and showed off their beautiful colors.
In this assignment, we were learning a little about photo shop and how to use it. We created pop-art. We had to take a picture of ourself and photoshop it to have an "Andy Warhol like effect." This was my original photo. This was my first photo shopped pop-art image. This is my second photo shopped pop-art image. In this assignment, I learned a little about how to use photo shop and how to use filters, resize the canvas, and how to move a layer onto another one. I really enjoyed this activity, which is surprising because when I was taking multimedia in middle school, I hated photo shop because I didn't understand how to use it.
For my first shooting assignment, I was thinking about doing ANIMAL. I really like shooting pictures of birds because there are so many in my backyard. Some photos I found online for inspiration are: I think these are great examples of birds in their natural habitat. There is not too much going on in the image and there are some wonderful colors to look at in these images.
For this assignment, we learned about all of the different elements of composition in photography. We had to take picture of all of the elements like lines, patterns, symmetry, rule of thirds, etc. Here are all of my pictures. Rule of thirds - rock on rockPattern - Dried out honeycombSymmetry - Half of a KiwiTexture - Close up of a leafDepth of Field - Yellow finch on bird feederLines - School stairwellFraming - sunset through lacrosse netperspective - tree trunkSpace - bird in grassBalance - Cardinal in treeColor - View of forest through grassFrom doing this assignment, I learned all about the different composition elements in photography and I learned how to take photos of them. I also learned what to do while taking photos and what not to do like face you subject to be looking at something in the picture, not something out of the picture because that draws interest to different things. I actually kind of liked this assignment, but I didn't like how the photo opportunities around school are limited unless you go outside.
Hello! My name is Camille La Fleur. I am a freshman at Saline High School. I have 2 brothers, a mom, and a dad. I do gymnastics five days a week for four and a half hours each practice. I took this class because I was interested in learning more about photography and I wanted to see if I really liked it. I took multimedia in middle school, but that is the only experience with photography that I have. This is me!
